The Corona outbreak.

The world is facing a complete tragedy when South Korea announced the Corona out break. Many have reported this virus, whereas many have been taken to isolation to treat the patients.

As serious as it is, the Corona virus entered Kwa-Zulu Natal. On a Thursday morning the 5th of march, the national institute for communicable diseases confirmed that a suspected case of COVID-19 has been tested positive. The patient is a 38 year old male, who traveled to Italy with his wife, they were part of a group of 10 people and they arrived back in South Africa. The patient has been self isolated since the 3rd of march.

On interview me or view you, I’ve asked Mr. Mankayi on this matter. “As sad as it sounds, I’m happy that South Africa is working it’s hardest to improve this matter” said Mr. Mankayi “while the health institutions are working with this situation, we just have to continue to watch our health and focus on our studies” “but haii their so disrespectful, a person comes to sneeze once here, to kill the whole nation?!” as he try’s to lighten the moods of his fellow colleges that surrounded him.

As for the music and art industries, we don’t know whether the idols in South Africa could inspire and motivate the citizens in South Africa to be on the look out.

KATHU AND MUSIC

Many people wonder if Kathu is interesting or exciting, some have said its so quiet that you’d easily get bored. Being in a town that is not well known can be surprisingly good. I made a series where I’ll be gathering some talented Kathu High students who will inspire and achieve their dreams. The series’ name will be “interview you or view me”.

EPISODE 1:

This is the first episode of “interview you or view me”. When we talk about teenagers we talk of many stereotypical phrases. It is said that a teenager is a person who falls within the ages of 13 to 19 years old. The word “teenager” is another word for an adolescent. They are moody, isolated from their families and friends, and they feel as if they are just dead bodies who walk through torture everyday, but its part of “growing up”. Many teenagers face these things during adolescence, facing heart break and trying to figure what they should do with their life, but having that kind of situation, may effect their lives.

In order for them to escape the pain, they constantly tell themselves that they are worthless and do not belong in this world making them end up becoming suicidal. Just a handful of teens, by formating their pain and dis-stress as music and art. One of them was interviewed, she’s a talented drawer and singer, who fought depression itself through music and art. Many people never liked her, but with the Lord’s grace she made it through, her name is Kamohelo Maru.

I interviewed her during our break or as some people call it “launch time”. ” I was born in Wilmid park, Klerksdorp. I had passion for music at a very young age, singing in the church choir was one of the best experiences, discovering that I could sing was the best. I remember when my mom told me that, when I was small I used to sing and words would just splutter out…”said Maru as I asked her where she was born and why she choose to sing.

” I see my self being a 2nd “Bonang Matheba”, I want to be an unique presenter in other words”. When I asked her why she responds: “umm, since I was in grade R, I loved being the MC (master of ceremonies), I’d demand my friends to play the show called Idols and I’d always play as the Idols television presenter, Proverb”. I ended the interview by asking whether if she thinks younger kids should focus in their studies first before anything else, “Hell yes!, I mean not every drop out becomes as lucky as Somizi and Refliwe “Cassper Nyovest”. So I think it would be best if they focused on their studies, get themselves a matric award, go to university and get themselves a diploma or something, I think as they are busy attending school, they could get a part time job that would make people recognize their talent.” she said.

Cheers to a start of a musical blog. I’m Omphemetse Nkge also known by my artist name called “H!gh-key” and “P.H.X.M.I”. I’m a South African blogger, songwriter, try hard singer, rapper and learning dancer, born and raised in Rustenburg, North West. At times I struggle to understand how my life functions because of how the world is and the decisions I make everyday. I’ve been bullied during my primary years and constantly disappointed my parents, but during this year, I’ve recovered, regained and reformed my entire life through the grace of God, meditation and self love.

To be honest, I never looked at music and art as a hobby or a career but as soon as I understood how healing music and art is, my view about it changed. I describe my life as a movie or a book, some chapters are meant to be unread and some understood, some are meant to be set free. The blog has sections, the first sections is about the Amapiano genre, second is Hip hop, third is about dance, and lastly its about the news at school.

In my town there are so many artists trying to build courage in order to promote their music but don’t know how. So I made this blog to inspire, Motivate and promote their music and art, and help them achieve their dreams.
